As a System Engineer at Wipro, your role will be diverse and dynamic. You’ll be responsible for:
- Day-to-day troubleshooting of incidents and problems reported by users, ensuring timely updates in the ticket logging tool.
- Addressing desktop and laptop operating system issues.
- Installing, re-installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems, printers, and scanners.
- Handling software and application installations, re-installations, and configurations.
- Configuring and troubleshooting email clients.
- Installing antivirus software and monitoring virus definition auto-updates on desktops and laptops.
- Applying approved patches to desktops and laptops that have failed automatic updates.
- Removing viruses from affected devices.
- Managing IMACs (Install, Move, Add, and Change) with pre-approval and low impact.
- Performing OS builds from approved images.
- Demonstrating problem-solving capabilities with various hardware vendors, including Wipro, IBM, HP, Dell, and others.
- Quickly analyzing and diagnosing technical problems.
- Resolving problems within specified SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Collaborating with local and global teams.
- Maintaining proactive and clear communication skills.
- Demonstrating quality and process knowledge.
- Excelling in client communication.
- Adapting to shift-based work as per project requirements.
- Assisting with desktop and phone setups for projects.
- Implementing strategies to reduce repetitive support calls.
